I Love You

When I say I love you,
I mean it.
I never push those words
With ease

I don’t recall my feelings
Being bared
Without a soul who’s heart
Wasn’t shared

I’ll love you no matter
The curses
I may give because
You were careless
I’ll endure the pain you gave
Throughout the ages

I’ll love you with a passion
Of a thousand weeping poets
I’ll treat you with the fragility
Of a thousand blooming roses

I’ll hold your heart forever
I’ll keep it safe and near
I’ll lock it away
For its mine
I’ll say
To love though you’re
Not here.

It’s early here, close to 6 am, and I woke feeling the urge to write.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about my future and if I truly mean it when I say I want to be alone.

I do not. I want to find someone – I want us to find each other, two souls reaching to become one. I want us to be together.

I may not be in a place where I feel entirely comfortable, but I am reaching a place where I feel I am ready to love again.

May we all truly be happy.

Let it out... we are all listening.
